GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Chattahoochee Valley struck big in the sixth inning in route to a 10-2 win in seven innings in game two of the Alpine Bank Junior College Baseball World Series over Harford.

The Fighting Owls (52-10, 0-1 JUCO) took an early 1-0 lead in the fourth as Dominic DiSabatino hit a RBI double down the left field line, scoring teammate JP Vail. 

The Pirates of Chattahoochee Valley (50-10, 1-0) put two runners in scoring position off a hit-by-pitch and double into right by Frank Wagner.  Jaylen Smith would follow with an RBI single up the middle to tie the game at one. 

After a wild pitch brought home the second run, Nolan Greckel hit a two RBI single up the middle, making it 4-1.  Two more would score as Will Campbell doubled to left center, giving Chattahoochee Valley at 6-1 lead.

Back in the top of the seventh, the Pirates used three hits and an error to score four more runs.  Smith Brandon Hill both hit RBI singles with the other two were scored on the run.

Harford would battle in the seventh inning for a run, but could not muster more and would lose the contest 10-2 in seven innings.

Four Pirates had a multi-hit game while their pitcher, Chase Burks picks up the win.  Michael Adams for Harford gets the loss in 5.1 innings.
