Whether or not the CVCC Men's Basketball program returns to the ACCC State Playoffs depends largely on how well the new team adjusts to the hard work and dedication that Head Coach Richard Mahone demands. Only three Pirates return from last year's ACCC Southern Division Championship team that finished 23-6 and boasted several All-ACCC performers. In addition to returning starters James Barnes and Jahwon Williams, the Pirates have added several talented freshman who will be asked to step up early and contribute to the Pirates' success. Coach Mahone is confident that his mixture of veteran leadership and young talent will develop into a quality team that can make another run at the ACCC Southern Division title and a berth in the ACCC playoffs.
