The Chattahoochee Valley Community College Mens Basketball starts its season with lots of excitement. The Pirates completed last season with an overall 19-13 record and 9-5 (conference) and a third seed in conference play, finishing in the Elite Eight in the ACCC state tournament.
The Pirates are returning five sophomores, including the head of the class, Cornelius Souder (Henry County High School), McDonough, Ga. Other players who made an impact were Cedric Jackson (Hardaway High School), Columbus, Ga. and Terence Priestly, (Opelika High School), Opelika, Al.
The Pirates are primarily a young, inexperienced team; however the players are dedicated to work hard and improve. The 2014-15 Pirates are confident that this could be a special season on the hardwood floor of Key Hall.
