Marion's Sixth Man Brings Energy to the IAC...and a Swimming Turtle?

"Right turtle…left turtle…swim turtle" could be heard from Marion Military Institute's 'Sixth Man' every time one of MMI's players stepped to the free throw line.  The "swimming turtle" seemed to help last night against Bishop State Community College as the Tigers shot an impressive 14 out of 15 from the charity stripe, including several late in the game to secure a 72-68 victory.

The guard play of sophomores Christian Bradford and Ronnie Baylark once again led Marion's offense.  Bradford finished with a team high 27 points while Baylark contributed 16 points.  Sophomore Miles Perdue was also a double digit scorer.  He scored 10 points for the Tigers, now 2-0 on the season.

Marion led 42-37 at halftime.  Bishop State put together several runs during the second half but couldn't get any closer than three points.  Michael Nobles (6), Charles Tripp (4), Quamauri Hardy (4), Chase Garvin (3), and Neiman Dunams (2) rounded out the scoring for the Tigers.
