Eagles avenge season-opening loss by downing PSC 66-62

PENSACOLA – Alabama Southern's Eagles avenged their season opening loss to Pensacola State College by downing the Pirates 66-62 in Pensacola Tuesday, Nov. 22.

ASCC trailed by seven at the half, 30-23 but the Eagles caught fire in the second half, outpacing the Pirates 43-32 to take the four-point win. Daniel Kinchen paced the Eagles with 21 points in the game followed by Khaliel Spearman with 19. The win evened the Eagles' record at 3-3 on the season.

The Lady Eagles fell to the Lady Pirates 98-71. Shamina Hunter tallied 28 points in the game followed by Mya Cleveland with 11 and Caitlyn Jakes with 10. The loss dropped the Lady Eagles to 1-6 on the season.

The Eagles will be in action Thursday, Nov. 30 at Northwest Florida. The two teams will return home on Tuesday, Dec. 6 when they host Shelton State. The Lady Eagles tip things off at 5:30 followed by the Eagles at 7:30 at the Cooper Center in Monroeville.
