The Calhoun Softball team continues to step to the plate for others. On April 6th following the Wallace State contest, the Lady Warhawks presented Brittany Ledbetter and her family a gift card and Wallace State spirit clothes. Brittany is a sophomore pitcher for Calhoun's conference foe Wallace State. Her family lost their home in a fire a few weeks ago.
On April 18th, the team celebrated the 6th Annual "Catch for A Cure " event for the American Cancer Society with the final conference game of the season against Marion Military Institute. The team and coaches raised more than $700 for the community Relay for Life Event from donations. The team celebrated with pink jerseys and pink bases and donation boxes around the stadium.
