Gabby Nicholson of 7th ranked Shelton State has been named the ACCC Player of the Week for the week of November 30-December 6.
The sophomore from Birmingham and Midfield High School led the Lady Bucaneers to a 2-0 week with wins over Itawamba (MS) and Chattahoochee Valley.
Nicholson had 11 points on the road at Itawamba and followed that up with a 22 point performance, including 4-6 from 3 point range, at Chattahoochee Valley. She ranks eighth in the ACCC in scoring at 13.6, fourth in three-point percentage at 33.3 and seventh in free-throw percentage at 70.6.
With the wins, Shelton State improves to 10-0.
Shelton State returns to action December 8 when they host Alabama Southern.
