Snead State claims eighth title in a row

BOAZ – The Snead State tennis team recently won the NJCAA Region XXII Women's Tennis Championship at the Jimmy Johns Tennis Center in Decatur. 

This was the eighth Alabama Community College Conference regional title in a row for the Lady Parsons. The win qualifies Snead State to attend the national tournament in Tucson, Arizona May 2-8.

The team won 11-of-18 possible points and either won or placed second in all nine positions.

Snead State won three out of nine positions. Out of the remaining six positions, Snead State placed second.  

Coach Matt Holladay also received the Region XXII Coach of the Year award for the second year in a row.

The tennis team also earned an impressive 3.85 team grade point average in the fall semester.
