Snead State Claims Ninth Title in a Row

BOAZ – The Snead State tennis team recently won the NJCAA Region XXII Women's Tennis Championship at the Jimmy Johns Tennis Center in Decatur. 

This was the ninth Alabama Community College Conference regional title in a row for the Lady Parsons. The win qualifies Snead State to attend the national tournament in Tyler, Texas, May 7-13.

Coach Matt Holaday also received the Region XXII Coach of the Year award for the third year in a row.

The tennis team also earned an impressive 3.77 team grade point average for the fall semester. Four of the nine Lady Parsons have perfect 4.0 grade point averages.

Members of the tennis team include sophomore Hannah Mathis from Rome, Ga., and freshmen Katy Beth Bole of Oneonta, Brooklyn Brothers of Douglas, Alexis Daniels of Arab, Brandi Daniels of Arab, Hannah Rains of Albertville, Olivia Sharpton of Cullman, Morgan Thompson of Rockmart, Ga., and Alesha Triplet of Oneonta.
