Wallace State volleyball wraps up ACCC regular season with perfect mark

HANCEVILLE, ALA. -- Wallace State volleyball has once again completed a perfect regular-season march through the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC).

The Lions won 25-7, 25-19, 25-12 at Coastal Alabama-Brewton on Sunday, wrapping up a perfect 16-0 mark in conference action this season.

Wallace State (29-7), which has won 10 matches in a row, concludes the regular season Wednesday at Martin Methodist College. The Lions have won 11 consecutive ACCC regular-season championships.

Wallace State freshman Karlee Hall finished with 13 kills and four digs against the Lady Warhawks, Lexie Riggins had 10 kills and a pair of digs, Kaitlyn Doyle had seven kills and Maya Jones added five.

McKenzie Boland collected a team-high 31 assists. Madison Turner finished with 11 digs, Karmahn Hall had eight and Alexis Snow added seven. Courtlyn Barber added six digs and three kills.

Wallace State also earned a 25-12, 25-10, 25-16 victory over Wallace Community College – Selma on Oct. 17 with four players registering at least seven kills.

Hale finished the match with 11 kills, Riggins had nine kills, Jones had seven and Barber contributed seven kills and six digs.

Snow finished with a team-high 10 digs, Alex Wiggins had nine digs and five kills, Hall had seven digs and Madison Turner added five.

Boland finished with 35 assists and Rhodes added six assists.

Wallace State has won 74 consecutive regular-season matches. 

As the top seed, Wallace State will seek its 10th consecutive ACCC/Region 22 tournament championship beginning Nov. 2 at Tom Drake Coliseum. The tournament is Nov. 2-4.
