ACCC extends baseball tournament at Choccolocco Park through 2027

The City of Oxford and the Alabama Community College Conference are excited to announce a five-year agreement that will extend the ACCC Baseball Championship series to Choccolocco Park beginning in May 2023. The contract was unanimously approved by Oxford council members at Tuesday evening's regularly scheduled meeting. In the new agreement, Oxford will host the Conference Tournament through 2027. Choccolocco Park will also host the District Tournament in 2024, 2025, and 2027.

Mayor Alton Craft remains committed to bringing world class athletes and their families to our region. Craft says, "When these families come to Choccolocco Park, they eat in our restaurants, shop in our stores, and stay in our hotels. The economic impact that comes with this is another huge win for our region."

"We have tremendous facilities here at Choccolocco Park, and we are thrilled to be able to bring the ACCC tournament to Oxford through 2027," says Don Hudson, Director of Oxford's Parks and Recreation Department.

Dean Myrick is the Commissioner of the Alabama Community College Conference. "We are pleased to continue our partnership with the City of Oxford and Choccolocco Park," says Myrick. "Our first year was a huge success and very well received. The park and city staff, and Oxford community have welcomed us with open arms, and we couldn't be more excited about what the next five years will bring us."
